The address for any notice under these terms, including a cancellation notice, is GOLDPAID LTD, Unit 217, Bristol Business Centre, 179 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2AG. That is the same address recorded at Companies House as the registered office, 179 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2AG. Trading contact: goldpaiduk@gmail.com. What you are buying — main characteristics of the service
- Single-item XRF Report (£35). Non-destructive X-ray fluorescence assay of one item, plus a written report showing elemental composition, weight, an indicative scrap-equivalent value at the spot rate on the test date, and photographs.
- Family Pack (£65, up to 5 items). The single-item report format applied to up to five items, individually identified and reported, with a side-by-side comparison table.
- Estate Pack (£95, up to 10 items). Up to ten items in an estate-inventory format, with a photo log.
- Probate Pack (£195, up to 20 items). The single-item report format applied to an estate, with a total scrap-equivalent value, an executor cover letter, a photo inventory and a flag against any item potentially above £1,500 individually.
- Plating Check (£25, one item). A multi-point plating-versus-solid scan on one item, with a pass or fail summary. It is a narrower report than the single-item pack, not a full elemental table.
- Insurance Valuation Add-on (+£25 per item). A written reinstatement-value valuation added to the specified items.
- Gem Triage Screen (£40, one stone or set). A screen to distinguish diamond, moissanite, glass and synthetic material, with a written summary. It is a screen, not a grading report.
- Diamond Grading (£85, one loose stone). A grading report covering the 4Cs, dimensions, an inclusion plot and a lab-grown screen. It is produced in-house and is not a UKAS-accredited laboratory report.
- Coloured-stone Identification (£85, one stone). Species and treatment identification on a single coloured stone, with a written report.
- Pearl Report (£85, one pearl or strand). Natural, cultured or imitation identification, with a written report.
- Printed paper report (£8). An optional printed copy of any of the above, posted to you. Reports are delivered as a PDF by email by default.
- Separately from these paid reports, GoldPaid may also make a purchase offer for the metal content. That offer is separate to the paid report, costs nothing, and is not a formal probate valuation.
Total price and how you pay
The prices above are the total price for each service, inclusive of any applicable UK VAT. There is no web checkout. You agree the pack on WhatsApp or email, then pay by bank transfer. Testing starts once the funds arrive.
How the service is delivered
- You post the item(s) to GoldPaid using a prepaid Royal Mail Special Delivery label provided by us; cover level is confirmed with you on WhatsApp before the label is issued (Royal Mail cover may be available up to £2,500 depending on the postal method and cover level used).
- Turnaround from receipt: Single Item, Family Pack and Estate Pack, 24 to 48 hours; Plating Check, 24 hours; Probate Pack, 48 to 72 hours; Gem Triage Screen, 2 to 3 working days; Diamond Grading, Coloured-stone Identification and Pearl Report, 5 to 7 working days. The Insurance Valuation Add-on adds one further working day. These are the same figures published on the pricing page.
- The finished report is emailed to you (and posted if you request it).
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off)
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you enter into the contract. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation. If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Express start of the service. If you asked to begin the performance of the service during the cancellation period, and the service has been fully performed by the time you cancel, you lose the right to cancel. If we begin the service during the cancellation period at your express request, and you cancel before the service is fully performed, you will pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you communicated your cancellation, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

I/We [*] hereby give notice that I/We [*] cancel my/our [*] contract for the supply of the following service:
Ordered on [*] / received on [*]
Name of consumer(s):
Address of consumer(s):
Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper):

Express-start consent (in writing)
If you want us to start during the 14-day cancellation period, you confirm in writing (WhatsApp or email): “I request GoldPaid to begin providing the paid XRF service during the 14-day cancellation period, and I understand that I will lose my right to cancel if the service is fully performed before I cancel.” Without that written request, GoldPaid waits until the 14 days have passed before starting the report.
Complaints and disputes
If you are unhappy with the service, please contact GoldPaid first on goldpaiduk@gmail.com or 07944 014111. This does not affect your statutory rights. The full procedure, including the external routes if we cannot resolve it, is on complaints.
Version and date
This is the version of these terms dated 9 September 2026. Prices, turnaround times and the product list on this page match the pricing page as at that date. If you need to know which version applied on a particular date, ask us and we will tell you.
Common questions
How do I cancel and get a full refund?
Email goldpaiduk@gmail.com or write to the registered office (both above) within 14 days of ordering. You do not need a reason. If you have not asked us in writing to start during the cancellation period, we will not have begun the report, and the full amount is refunded to the same payment method — usually within a few working days, and no later than 14 days after you tell us.
What if I asked you in writing to start early and then want to cancel?
If we have already finished your report, you cannot cancel the finished report — that is the trade-off you agreed to in writing in exchange for us starting sooner. If we are part-way through, you pay only for the part completed, calculated in proportion to the whole service, and the balance is refunded.
Is this the final version of the terms?
These terms are current as at the version date below. Any change is dated here. Nothing in them reduces a statutory right you would have anyway.
