Does requesting a label commit me to selling?
No. The label is free and there is no obligation at any point. You get a written offer after your items are weighed and XRF-assayed, and you decide then. If you decline, your items are returned to you free of charge.
How long does the label take to arrive?
The label is emailed, usually within about 30 minutes during working hours. We answer from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week, so a request sent on a Sunday evening is normally dealt with that evening rather than the following week.
What postal cover applies?
Royal Mail cover may be available up to £2,500 depending on the postal method and cover level used. GoldPaid can confirm the appropriate postal option before you post, based on what you are sending.
Do I have to know the weight or the carat first?
No. Most people do not, and it does not matter. Describe what you have in your own words, or leave that box empty. The assay establishes purity and calibrated scales establish weight, and both appear on your written offer.
Can I do this without WhatsApp?
Yes. This form is the reason it exists. Fill it in, the label comes by email, and everything after that can be handled by email or phone if you prefer. WhatsApp is the quickest route for photographs, not the only route.
