Ask before you post, always
You never have to commit to anything to start. Send a few clear photos on WhatsApp, or call, and tell us roughly what you have. You get an honest indication and a straight answer to any question before a single item leaves your hands. GoldPaid is a UK-wide postal buying service, so there is no shop to visit and no counter pressure.
What we buy
Watches, old and new
Vintage and modern, branded and unbranded, wristwatches and pocket watches, working or not. Solid gold and silver cases are valued for their metal as well as the watch itself. Send a photo of the dial, the back and any markings.
Coins
Collectable, commemorative and bullion coins, single pieces or whole collections. Pre-1947 and pre-1920 UK silver, sovereigns, crowns and world coins all welcome. A clear photo of both sides tells us a great deal.
Medals and medallions
Military, service and commemorative medals, single or as a full group, plus gold, silver and base-metal medallions and tokens. Named groups and original ribbons are worth keeping together, so photograph them as they are.
Stamps
Stamp collections, albums, loose lots and first-day covers. Photograph a few album pages and any catalogue or country focus, and we will tell you what is worth posting.
If a piece is solid gold or silver, we value the metal too. Not sure which it is? Our gold hallmark guide helps, or just send a photo and we will tell you.

How we value your items
Watches, coins, medals, medallions and stamps are assessed individually, by hand, not by metal weight alone. We cannot honestly give a guaranteed figure before we see an item, which is why we always start with a photo and follow with a written offer once the items are in front of us. Final offers depend on inspection, condition, rarity, completeness and the current market. Where an item is solid gold or silver, that metal value is assessed as well using our in-house XRF analyser.
Posting safely
Every parcel travels by Royal Mail Special Delivery, tracked and signed for. Your parcel is insured up to £2,500 via Royal Mail Special Delivery. If your items are worth more than that cover, message us first and we will confirm the appropriate postal option before you post. Use a plain padded envelope and never write what is inside on the outside.
What happens if you decline
There is no obligation to sell. If you decline our offer, we return everything to you free of charge by tracked, insured Royal Mail, along with payment for anything you did decide to sell. No fee, no pressure.
Who this helps
People clearing a late relative's collection, downsizing a lifetime of stamps or coins, selling an inherited watch, or sorting a house-clearance box of medals and odds and ends. If you are not sure whether something has value, a photo costs nothing and tells you straight away.
Common questions
Do you really buy more than gold and silver?
Yes. Gold and silver are our main trade, but we also buy watches (old and new), coins, medals, medallions and stamps. We value them for you free of charge and make a no-obligation offer.
How much are my items worth?
Watches, coins, medals, medallions and stamps are assessed individually, not by metal weight alone. We cannot give a guaranteed figure before we see them, so the honest first step is a photo on WhatsApp for an indication, then a written offer once we have inspected them. Final offers depend on inspection, condition, rarity, completeness and the current market.
Is there any charge for a valuation?
No. Valuations are free and there is no obligation to sell. If you decline our offer, we return everything to you free of charge by tracked, insured Royal Mail.
Do I have to send everything at once?
No. Send a photo of whatever you have, including mixed boxes and part collections, and we will tell you what is worth posting before you go to the Post Office.
Is it safe to post watches, coins and collections?
Yes. Every parcel travels by Royal Mail Special Delivery, tracked and signed for. Your parcel is insured up to £2,500 via Royal Mail Special Delivery. If your items are worth more than that cover, message us first and we will confirm the appropriate postal option before you post.
Do you buy whole collections and house-clearance lots?
Yes. Whole coin or stamp collections, medal groups, watch boxes and mixed clearance lots are all welcome. Photograph the lot as it is and we will advise.
