Diamonds and stones
We buy diamonds. Both set in jewellery and as loose stones, and assess them in-house. If a piece has both precious metal and stones, both are valued.
Watches, coins, medals, medallions and stamps
Gold and silver are our main trade, but they are not all we buy. We also buy a wider range of collectable items, value them for you free of charge, and make a no-obligation offer.
- Watches, old and new. Vintage, modern, branded and pocket watches, working or not. Solid gold and silver cases are valued for their metal too. Send a photo before posting and we will advise.
- Coins. Collectable, commemorative and bullion coins, single pieces or whole collections, including pre-1947 silver and sovereigns.
- Medals. Military, service and commemorative medals, single or as a group.
- Medallions. Gold, silver and base-metal medallions and tokens.
- Stamps. Stamp collections, albums and first-day covers.
These are assessed individually, not by metal weight alone, so the fastest way to find out what yours is worth is to send a photo on WhatsApp. Final offers depend on inspection, and you are under no obligation to sell. See the watches, coins, medals and stamps page for the full detail.
What we don't buy
- Gold-plated or gold-filled items, these have a base metal core and no recoverable bullion value
- Anything you do not own or have the right to sell, identity and ownership checks apply to every transaction
Costume and fashion jewellery holds no precious metal, so it is never bought by the piece. It is bought in bulk, by weight, against the wholesale costume market, so send the whole tangle in one parcel rather than picking through it.
Watches, coins, medals, medallions and stamps are assessed individually rather than by metal weight, and where one is worth more than the metal in it we can pay above metal for it. Message us a photo before posting and we will tell you whether it is worth sending.
For the full list with the honest reason behind each one, how to check your own items before posting, and where declined pieces can genuinely go instead, see what we don't buy, and what to do with it instead.
Not sure? Send a photo first
The fastest way to know is to send us a photo on WhatsApp. We will tell you whether it is worth sending before you go to the Post Office. No obligation either way.
Common questions
How do I know if my item is real gold or gold-plated?
Look for a hallmark such as 375, 585, 750, 916 or 999. If there is no hallmark, or you are unsure, send us a photo, and if you do post it, our XRF assay confirms it for certain at no cost.
Do you buy broken or single items?
Yes. Condition does not matter. We buy for the metal content. Broken chains, single earrings and bent rings are all accepted.
Do you buy watches?
Yes, old and new. Vintage, modern, branded and pocket watches, working or not. Solid gold and silver cases are valued for their metal as well. Message us a photo before posting and we will advise.
Do you buy coins, medals, medallions and stamps?
Yes. We buy collectable, commemorative and bullion coins, military and commemorative medals, gold, silver and base-metal medallions, and stamp collections. We value them free of charge and make a no-obligation offer. They are assessed individually, so send a clear photo first.
What if I send something you don't buy?
We return it to you free of charge by tracked, signed-for post, along with payment for anything we did buy.
