How to post your items to GoldPaid

A practical step-by-step for getting your items to GoldPaid safely, the prepaid label, packing, posting, and keeping your proof.

Step by step

  • Request your label. Message GoldPaid on WhatsApp or call. We send a free Royal Mail Special Delivery label, or a QR code for the Post Office counter if you have no printer.
  • Photograph your items. A quick photo of everything before you pack is your own record.
  • Wrap each piece individually in tissue or bubble wrap so nothing moves or scratches.
  • Use a small rigid box or padded envelope and seal every edge with strong tape. Keep the packaging plain. No mention of the contents.
  • Attach the label (or show the QR code) and hand the parcel in at any Post Office.
  • Keep your proof of postage receipt with the tracking number until you have been paid.

Postage, tracking and cover

Royal Mail Special Delivery cover may be available up to £2,500 depending on the postal method and cover level used. Every parcel uses Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed, tracked from the counter to our door, signed for on arrival, and arranged with that compensation cover. For anything you think exceeds it, contact us first; we will arrange a suitable approach rather than leave a parcel underprotected. The detail sits on postage and insurance and is it safe to post gold?.

After you have posted

Your parcel is tracked end to end. On arrival it is logged, weighed and XRF-assayed, and you receive a written offer, see how we handle your parcel. If you accept, payment follows by Faster Payments; if you decline, your items come back free of charge.

Common questions

What if I do not have a printer?

Tell us when you request your label and we send a QR code you show at the Post Office counter. They print the label for you.

Can I use my own packaging?

Yes. Any padded envelope or small rigid box is fine. Wrap items so they cannot move or be felt through the packaging, and seal it securely.

Why does the proof of postage matter?

It carries your tracking number and is your evidence the parcel entered the Royal Mail network. It is required for any compensation claim. Keep it until your sale is complete.
