Sell gold in London: a borough-by-borough guide

There is no GoldPaid branch in any London borough. There is no GoldPaid branch anywhere. Here is how the postal service works for residents of each borough, and the borough-specific pages with the detail.

Is there a GoldPaid shop in London? No. GoldPaid has no high-street branches anywhere, in London or elsewhere. It is a UK-wide postal gold and silver buying service. Residents of every London borough sell exactly the same way: ask first on WhatsApp, request a free Royal Mail Special Delivery label, post from any Post Office, and receive a written XRF-confirmed valuation by return.

Why postal works well for Londoners

London has more gold buyers per square mile than almost anywhere in the country, which sounds like an advantage, but it also means more shopfront overheads built into offers and more counter pressure in a crowded sales environment. A postal sale removes both. You get a written, XRF-backed figure to compare against any counter offer, and you make the decision at home rather than under fluorescent lighting in someone else's shop.

How the postal process works for any London address

  • Send photos on WhatsApp for a quick indicative figure. No charge, no obligation.
  • Request a free Royal Mail Special Delivery label, sent by email or QR code.
  • Post from any London Post Office. Keep the receipt.
  • Receive a written, itemised XRF valuation by email or WhatsApp.
  • Accept for Faster Payments to your account, or decline for a free tracked return.

Not sure how any of this applies to your own items? Send a photo on WhatsApp and ask. We answer honestly, there is no obligation, and nothing is posted until you decide. Or call 07944 014111, 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week.

Borough-specific pages

There is a dedicated page for every London borough we serve, each with the borough-specific FAQ and the same honest underlying process. See the full locations index for the list.

A note on "we buy gold in [your area]"

Plenty of websites claim a presence in every borough they list. GoldPaid does not. There is no shop in any borough. The postal service genuinely is the same for everyone, and the borough pages exist to explain that honestly, not to imply a fake local presence.

What to do next

If you want to know what your own pieces are worth, start with a photo rather than a parcel. Send one on WhatsApp and we will tell you plainly what can and cannot be judged from an image. If you go ahead, the items are XRF-tested on arrival and you receive a written offer setting out the purity found, the weight and the rate used. Decline it and the tracked return costs you nothing. Accept it and payment is by Faster Payments within one working hour of acceptance.

Common questions

Can I drop items off at a GoldPaid office in London?

No. GoldPaid is postal-only and has no public office or shop in London. Items travel on tracked, signed-for Royal Mail Special Delivery from any Post Office.

Do you serve outside London?

Yes. GoldPaid is UK-wide. The London borough pages exist because of the volume of London search demand, not because the service is London-only.

Is the process different for higher-value London addresses?

No. The process is the same; the only thing that varies is the cover level for higher-value parcels, which we arrange in advance.
